Manchester Residential Quality Guidance
The Manchester Residential Quality Guidance has been developed to help shape the quality of new homes and communities across the Greater Manchester city region. As lead graphic designer at Planit‑IE, I was responsible for the design and layout, including typography and colour schemes, page templates and diagrams. I took inspiration from the industrial quality of the city, with angular fonts and muted colours.
The document was highly collaborative with the urban designers and evolved a lot during the process. It become apparent, later than ideal, that it needed to be more digital-friendly so I created multiple navigation elements from contents to index to work on an interactive PDF
The guide won the North West RTPI award for Planning Excellence for Innovation in 2017.
